Job Description
Human resources (HR) officers develop, advise on and implement policies relating to the effective use of personnel within an organisation.
Responsibilities and Duties:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Organization and Information:
- Prepares job descriptions and job specifications as part of job analysis.
- Develops and administers Job Evaluation Program.
- Assists and Coordinates with the Department Heads in the preparation of job design.
- Keeps an organized Manual of Job Descriptions.
Acquisition of Human Resources:
- Conducts Human Resources Planning.
- Recruits human resources needed and requisitioned by the other departments.
- Screens applicants and selects the best qualified.
- Develops sound recruitment, screening, selection and placement policies and procedures in
coordination with the other departments.
- Maintains a complete record system of all human resources of the entire organization
- Maintains adequate human resources at all times.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Develops a sound compensation program.
- Administers wage, salary and benefits schemes.
- Formulates, recommends and evaluates policies and practices regarding employee welfare: health
and safety, retirement plan, health benefit plan, etc.
- Computes the Payroll of employees.
- Sees to it that all government-mandated benefits are administered: SSS, HDMF, and Philhealth.
Employee Welfare and Development:
- Formulates performance evaluation tools based on Key Result Areas.
- Administers Performance Evaluation Tools.
- Evaluates over-all Employees Performance
- Assists the Department Heads in the movement of the employees: promotion, layoff, transfer,
resignation, termination, etc.
- Checks and evaluates the Attendance Performance of all employees.
- Prepares short and long range plans for Training and Development.
- Develops a career planning program.
- Provides a counseling program for those who need the counseling service.
- Plans, prepares and coordinates employee development and camaraderie activities: Sports
Festival, Christmas Party, Team Building Activities, etc.
Labor Relations:
- Accomplishes requirements of the Department of Labor and Employment.
- Sees to it that labor laws and government regulations are observed.
- Facilitates grievance procedures.
- Coordinates with the company’s legal retainer for Labor-related concerns.
Writes / issues all employee-related memos.
Conducts research and survey on any HR-related concerns.
Oversees implementation of policies relating to personnel.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Psychology graduate or any behavioral or industrial relations related courses.
- Male or Female, 25 - 40 years old.
- 5 years or more work experience in auditing, preferably from hotel and/or restaurant industry.
- Pleasing personality and positive attitude.
- Good communication skills (both written and oral).
- Willing to work extended hours.
- Computer literate (MS Office applications).
