Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Under the general guidance of the Campus Mobility Section Head, the Traffic and Parking Management Officer acts as the main resource on all matters concerning traffic and parking in all the Ateneo campuses.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Improving Traffic and Parking Policies, Guidelines, and Standards
- Participates in the review and revision of university traffic policies and regulations to ensure compliance and alignment with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Conducts surveys, research, and data gathering to provide information and insights for the formulation of strategic plans, policies, and programs related to traffic management.
- Provides recommendations and contributes to the section in the development and maintenance of traffic and parking policies and procedures, including recommending changes and improvements based on best practices and emerging trends in the field.
Designing Traffic Schemes and Improving Traffic Flow and Safety
- Leads traffic studies and simulations using software and technology-based solutions to optimize existing traffic schemes and propose new ones, including designing traffic schemes and parking management for university and unit-wide events.
- Models and evaluates traffic scenarios to identify potential impacts of new developments and activities, and develops strategies to address challenges and improve traffic flow and safety.
Monitoring and Maintenance of Traffic and Parking Systems
- Oversees the operation and maintenance of the university's car park system, including pay parking and the management of vehicle information databases for traffic violations.
- Conducts regular audits of road networks, parking areas, and traffic and parking signages to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Monitors on-campus and off-campus traffic daily, collecting data on traffic volume and level of service, and analyzes and processes the data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Investigating and Resolving Traffic and Parking Problems, Complaints and Violations
- Investigates traffic problems and recommends effective methods to improve traffic flow and safety, including analyzing traffic patterns, conducting studies, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop solutions.
- Provides expert support in processing and resolving traffic complaints and violations, utilizing communication and problem-solving skills to effectively address issues and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Prepares detailed technical and statistical reports on traffic and parking-related operations matters, including accident reports, safety measures, and other relevant data, to support informed decision-making and ongoing improvement efforts.
Monitoring Performance of Service Providers
- Supports the Section Head in monitoring the performance of traffic and parking guards in compliance with university and local standards, including identifying areas for improvement, and developing appropriate ways of addressing them.
- Manages the internal shuttle system service provider in compliance with the contract and service level agreement, monitoring and reporting on performance metrics, identifying and addressing issues as they arise, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to continuously improve service delivery.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in traffic management is an advantage
- 2 years relevant experience
