Business Development Manager - Retailers Channel  

The Business Development (BD) Unit is responsible for global customer development and management. Delivers growth by creating strategies and executing sales plans to respond to challenges and opportunities in existing and new clients across all market channels: marketplaces, retailers online and offline. Our main customers are a reference in the resale industry (ie. The Real Real, Vestiaire Collective, Reebonz, Farfetch, etc) BD team is currently 20 people and works closely with the Product brand team and Operations to ensure a smooth choice, curation, and delivery.

• Create and implement strategies to grow the Retailers channels
• Generate channel and customer business insights; audit customers, build tools and initiatives to affect sales
• Work with supporting departments (Finance, Ops, Product, Data) to develop the optimal retailers business mix: price, product, promo, and operations
• Define a client acquisition plan, roadmap and operation with clear KPIs, metrics, and deliverables
• Lead a group of global account managers
• Manage directly the top clients in this channel
• The candidate will be in close contact with all our main global customers seeking external data insights, build stronger customer relationships and will be accountable to deliver on the revenue and target plan.

• 5-8+ years’ experience in SALES or/and BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT roles for e-commerce and/or retail companies
• Strong retail sales background skillset, proven growth delivery track records
• Account and channel management, business strategy
• Team management skills
• Preferably a background in sales-driven company
• Having experience in e-commerce and fashion industry companies is a big advantage
