General Tasks
- Communicate proactively with managers and seniors about the priority and progress of jobs allocated to you
- Take ownership and responsibility of tasks and jobs delegated to you, following relevant checklists and procedures to ensure adherence to client's standards.
- Prepare Business Activity Statements
- Reconcile and complete tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships
Kualifikasi Minimum
Key Technical Skills & Experience
- 3+ years' of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or equivalent
- Have experience Have enrolled or is looking to enroll in a CA/CPA
Essential Experience
- As part of the screening process for this role you will be asked to demonstrate your experience or understanding of the following:
- Demonstrated technical abilities and experience in using MYOB AE, Excel Microsoft Outlook, QuickBooks, MYOB Account Right and Xero
- Ability to prepare Business Activity Statements with an understanding of GST Free transactions
- Your experience in completing Australian tax returns for individuals, trust, companies and partnerships.
- Ability to complete a Tax reconciliation workpaper explaining the difference in accounting profit/loss to taxation profit/loss
- Ability to complete asset depreciation schedules
- Ability to reconcile Goods and Services Tax in financial statements
- Ability to complete a Franking Account in a company tax return
- Able to understand and complete a Division 7A Loan Reconciliation workpaper
- Able to demonstrate your understanding of how to reconcile and process the
- following provisions in financial statements:
○ Employee leave provisions,
○ Income tax provisions for companies
○ Superannuation liability for employees
- Ability to calculate FBT Reimbursements for motor vehicles
- Ability to complete Hire Purchase Loan schedules
- Strong understanding of Superannuation contributions deductible eligibility
- including:
○ Concessional and non-concessional caps
○ Prior unused superannuation caps
- Ability to calculate capital Gains calculation on sale of property for individuals
- Ability to calculate capital Gains calculation on sale of listed shares for individuals
