Credit Review Officer for SME and Commercial Loans  

Reviews, processes, and recommends with the prescribed turnaround time loan applications applying for any SME and Commercial Loans of Structured Finance Team such as but not limited to STL, RPNL, RD, MC Fleet, etc. and other consumer loan products of the company. Impartial, objective driven and will work with different units across the group of companies to complete the given task. Directly involved in the formulation of new or better procedures governing the commercial loan products subject to the approval of management.

Duties and Responsibilties:

• Evaluates the creditworthiness of all borrowing accounts, through an evaluation of financial statements, management competence, and industry condition and prospects;
• Ensures availability of individual credit risk rating of all borrowing accounts for approval by appropriate approving bodies;
• Ensures timeliness in risk rating the accounts subject to credit risk rating
• Reviews the Aging of Past Due Reports on a monthly basis to assess the status of non-performing accounts, and adjust classifications if and when warranted by the latest developments;
• Conducts validation of cash flow projections for complex term loans requiring committee approval through reviews of cash flow projections and sensitivity analysis in order to determine the viability and payment capacity of the project;
• Keeps abreast of updates on the Bank and BSP policies
• Assists the Department Heads in reviewing the Credit Applications of accounts through identification of risk areas, proper packaging, compliance with policies and bulletins, and regulatory requirements.
• Joins calls on clients engaged in critical industries/businesses to identify vulnerabilities and risk areas to make valid and intelligent recommendations
• Performs additional functions specifically special projects that have to be finished within a limited time;

And other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time that will support the goals of the organization.

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in any Business Course preferably with a BS Accountancy degree.
• With adept knowledge of the financial statements (balance sheet,income statement and cash flow analysis) and the relationship of the financial information towards the loan application or existing credit line.
• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills using the English language.
• With experience on oral presentation of loan application to different company’s committees.
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
