Job Description
Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the CMO Director, the APS Campus Minister assists in planning, conducting, coordinating and evaluating the various activities of the APS Campus Ministry to include its liturgical life and spiritual formation activities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
I. Sacramental Life
- Oversees the use, maintenance and services of the Chapel/Oratory, Sacristy, and CMO Office
- Coordinates with the APS Chaplain & CMO Director in planning and organizing special masses/rituals
- Feast of St. Ignatius
- Mass of the Holy Spirit
- First Friday Masses
- Baccalaureate Masses
- Commemorative Feasts, Special Occasions and Other Masses
- Special Rituals (e.g. blessings/Masses at ASMPH,
Masses for Barristers, AGSB, ALS, and ASoG, etc)
- Trains volunteers for liturgical celebrations
- Assigns and coordinates with volunteers for liturgical services (lectors, Eucharistic ministers, acolytes, choir)
- Serves as Liturgical Minister in daily and special masses as needed
- Coordinates with the assigned Schools the schedules of the liturgical services and consults them regarding their other liturgical needs
II. Formation and Spirituality
- Retreats and Recollections
- Plans, implements, and evaluates programs for the spiritual well-being of the assigned Schools
- Organizes annual retreats, recollections, days of prayer, retreat in daily life, Ignatian programs, etc.
- Does ocular inspection of venues for retreats and recollections
- Conceptualizes and develops modules, and other training material relevant to the spiritual formation programs and activities of APS Campus Ministry
- Proposes a pool of retreat directors and retreat guides/staffers
- Conducts or facilitates prayer sessions, recollections and retreats, and other Spiritual formation programs in the assigned Schools as well as in other sectors of the APS community as needed
- Coordinates with the assigned Schools the schedules of the spiritual formation programs and consults them regarding
their other spiritual formation needs - Initiates and organizes seasonal prayer services in consultation with the APS Chaplain & CMO Director

- Spritiual Accompaniment
- Conducts spiritual accompaniment sessions for students under the supervision of the APS Chaplain & CMO Director
- Pastoral Counseling
- Conducts psychological first aid only and refers members of the APS community to the Office of the AVP for Health, Care and Well-being for referrals or to other proper agencies
- Acts as spiritual adviser/moderator/formation to campus ministry volunteers organization
- Performs other duties as may be required by the position
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- College graduate/graduate student preferably with a degree in Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Education or Theology
- Background or training related to Ignatian Spirituality, Campus Ministry or Youth Ministry
- Retreat Experience (3, 5 or 8 days)
