Job Description
- Implement and oversee senior high school and college guidance program that provides students with a safe and non-judgmental way to voice their concerns or worries.
- Assist school administrators and educators with planning and carrying out school-related programs and events.
- Analyze student performance in the classroom to provid the guidance and identify potential problems.
- Help students develop academic plans in accordance with their skills, talents and strengths.
- Facilitate prevention programs.
- Communicate with teachers, parents and administrators on an on-going basis about behavioral and academic problems.
- Work collaboratively with the VP Academics and other supportive staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters/Ph.D. in Psychology, Social Services or Social Work preferred.
- Licensed Guidance Counselor.
- 2+ years experience in a Guidance Counselor role.
- Experience working with senior high school/college students is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Ability to balance administrative and support services efficiently.
