Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing risk-related support for all activities related to the risk planning pillar of the Enterprise Risk Management team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Enterprise Risk Management
- Supports the ERM Head in the timely preparation of Risk Management projects and activities.
- Develops and performs programs to build risk awareness culture in the organization.
- Supports the ERM manager in the development and implementation of Risk Management Programs in accordance with the ERM framework/principles to mitigate and control risk.
- Works closely with the Process Owners in identifying, assessing and treating different risks and risk levels in various Business Units, and ensures that proper risk management strategy is instituted to manage risks.
- Works closely with the Internal Audit and Business Process Management on the conduct of audits on the validation and effectiveness of Risk Treatments.
- Support in developing dashboards and analytics that helps visualize performance and assess effectiveness of risk treatments as well as projects implemented by the Risk Planning pillar department
- Supports the ERM Manager in consolidating risks at BU level and preparing BU Risk Management Plan and Risk Map.
Strategic Planning and Project Management
- Supports the strategy team in the development of strategy during the annual strategic planning.
- Develop and implement management of emerging and existing risks related to the new strategic initiatives/new projects of the business unit.
- Lead Tier 1 or Tier 2 project requiring general management skills and cross-functional collaboration.
- Coordinates across all groups to facilitate the delivery of major project related activities across the Thermal Business Unit.
- Promotes and implements good, disciplined, sound project management techniques.
- Manages a project, coordinating, and supporting teams:

Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan.

Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan.

Recording and managing project issues and escalating where necessary.

Managing project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary.
- Reports and tracks progress of projects and prompt senior management interventions and support, as required.
ERM Execution
- Support all risk pillars (Risk Management, Risk Finance, Business Continuity Management, Information Security Management, Data Privacy Management) in Enterprise Risk Management.
- Support site SPOC in implementation of day to day risk management initiatives in Thermal Group.
- Guide site SPOC with new risk management initiatives and/or with regards changes with existing initiatives.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors related to Risk Management.
- Ensures that needed management reports are generated on-time and accurately.
- Manage and optimize the use of company resources.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Management Engineering
- Preferably Master's degree holder in Business/Finance or relevant work experience
- At least 2 years of working experience in power industry or any highly industrial business with relevant experience in risk or claims management.
- At least 1 year of project management experience
- At least 1 year of leadership experience
- Preferably a Certified Risk Professional
